New York State Anti-Harassment Policy & Training Compliance
The State of New York has announced new workplace anti-harassment legislation which impacts businesses with two (2) or more employees. Compliance with some of these new regulations is required by October 9, 2018.
The new legislation requires employers of all sizes to either craft new workplace harassment policies or amend existing policies to address the changes put forth by New York State.
All employers will also be required to provide interactive anti-harassment training to both management and staff-level employees on an annual basis.
Since 2001, our team has served as nationally recognized subject matter experts in the area of workplace harassment. We have crafted, audited, and /or updated thousands of policies for clients throughout the United States, and have provided Anti-Harassment Training to well over 10,000 employees. While all guidelines for the training and policy statement have yet to be released by the state, our team fully expects that any and all solutions we provide will exceed compliance standards outlined in the passed bill.
