HR Assess, HR Program, and Process Design

Client with a need to mature the HR function as a result of rapid growth.

Issue

Our client, having grown from a 2-person firm to over 25 employees, recognized the need to establish a more formal Human Resources function and infrastructure. Their goal was to be better protected as a company and more supportive of their employees.

Solution

After an HR audit was conducted to determine the extent of their needs, a plan was formulated and then executed. Steps taken, all done in a collaborative fashion, included a restructuring of employee files, the editing and redistribution of a new Employee Handbook, training of an administrator to handle day-to-day HR issues, and the training of all supervisory management. Training conducted covered the administration of policies and procedures, interviewing skills, employment law and the pitfalls, performance management, performance appraisal process, and handling employee relations issues.

Results

Our client is far more self-sufficient, operating with a greater level of support for their employees and with a greater level of protection for their company. While we still offer assistance at moments of crisis and milestone, we have left them far more capable of handling their day-to-day HR issues independently.
