Report Shows Jobless Claims at 13 Week Low

Yesterday’s report released by the Department of Labor showed that weekly unemployment benefit applications decreased to 253,000, which is the lowest level seen since last April. CBS Moneywatch says that economists point to business confidence for this dip in jobless claims, and are encouraged that layoffs are not increasing. CBS further says that while the June jobs report was a strong one, they are pleased that business confidence has not waned in the face of last month’s Brexit vote.
