Effective March 2018, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) will require employers with 100 or more workers to collect additional data to be reported on annual EEO-1 reports. The new EEO-1 form will include two new sections: summary pay data, which requires employers to provide the number of full time and part time employees and their income provided on the employee’s W-2 form; and aggregated hours worked data, which requires employers to provide the total hours worked by employees. The new filing deadline will be March 31st for the previous reporting year.
In preparation, employers should ensure they have systems in place to collect the necessary data so they are ready to complete the new report come March 2018.
