CT: Update on Proposed Labor and Employment Bills

For 2019, the Connecticut General Assembly “is considering several proposed bills that if enacted would affect employers in significant ways.”

The most impactful bills that are being considered include Paid Family and Medical Leave, Minimum Wage Increase, and Sexual Harassment Prevention Training and Elimination of Certain Affirmative Defenses.

Employers are encouraged to review model policies and use the model request form available to them as outlined on the newly launched Lactation Accommodations website to ensure compliance.
