Creating a Learning Organization

As organizations grow, the ones that seem to consistently progress, despite turnover and even growth, are in many cases the ones that create a Learning Organization. A Learning Organization is a structure that promotes cross training, documenting of tasks and multiple overlaps in roles. It fosters an environment whereby no one person’s exit will mean the loss of information, the inability to smoothly recover from the loss or a disruption of business, as usual. Providing opportunity for all to work across “lines” and essentially wiping those lines out will foster the beginning of your learning organization.
