HR Generalist / Benefits Specialist Shannon Sorbara serves as the firm’s subject matter expert in the areas on Affordable Care Act Reporting and Employee Benefits. Providing high level HR support on both a short and long-term basis, Shannon’s expertise also extends into employee relations, policy and procedure development, and HR compliance.

Beginning her HR career in the northwestern United States, Shannon first served as a Benefits Coordinator for the Seattle Fur Exchange. There, she supported a mix of seasonal and full-time employees, processing payroll, coordinating benefits, and managing the recruiting function.

She then joined System Food Services, where she provided benefits support to 650 union and non-union employees in numerous states throughout the country. Shannon then moved to the east coast when she joined Internet.com, working for the Darien, CT-based firm as a Human Resources / Payroll Coordinator. There, she supported the firm’s employee benefits, payroll, recruiting, new hire onboarding, and HR administrative functions.

Prior to serving as an HR Generalist / Benefits Specialist, Shannon was a Jr. HR Generalist for the Human Resources Consulting division at OperationsInc.

Shannon earned a B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management from the University of Washington.

She resides with her family in New Canaan, CT.
