The Dos and Don’ts of Candidate Assessment

A Sixty (60) Minute Webinar for Business Professionals looking to learn more about how to effectively interview and assess a prospective new hire.

With all we have on our plates these days nothing is more critical than the interviewing process when considering new hires. We try to pack such a critical function into the span of an hour or even less, all with the goal of using that limited time to decide if the person in front of us will be a successful new addition to our team. Performing this function with a plan, an understanding of what questions to ask and not to ask, and how to interpret the responses is paramount. So how do you pull this off?

Spend an hour with us and we’ll teach you some tricks and techniques.

David Lewis, President and Founder of OperationsInc, an 11 year old, 33+ person Human Resources Outsourcing and Consulting Firm based in Stamford, CT, will discuss these issues and more. In this fast moving and highly informational Webinar we will cover in concise, simple terms:

  • Setting Interviewing Goals / A Plan  – Mapping out the interviewers, what you want to learn, who asks what, etc.
  • Defining the Fit– Determining what characteristics you are seeking that will best suit your needs
  • Questions to Ask– Ways to secure the information you need to determine how well the candidatewill fit in your organization
  • Interpreting the Responses– What to take away from the candidates answers to your questions; the obvious and the subtle

"I have found our OI resource to be extremely easy to work with.  She is very professional, and responds quickly to all communication.  When we have worked together on lengthier projects (i.e. Handbook and Salary Grids) she has completed the work on a timely basis.  I have found that she does have a wealth of knowledge, but if unsure of an answer, she will do the research and get me the correct answer.  She is very thorough and I feel very confident in her ability and quality of work.  I would feel very comfortable recommending her services to my peers."
