Consultation and Management Training
Client with a need to terminate an employee, yet with legitimate concerns of their legal rights and future liability.
Issue
Our client had reached the decision that an employee of theirs needed to be terminated, yet wanted to be sure they were fully prepared and protected from any possible future action on the part of the employee.
Solution
A complete review was done with the client of all the facts surrounding the employee in question. This included a review of their employee file, their ethnic background, age, length of service, and the circumstances in regards to their present role. All involved parties in management were interviewed. Legal counsel was contacted. The details of the situation were briefly reviewed, with subsequent assurance from their attorney that the termination could proceed. Training was provided as to the conducting of the termination meeting. Documentation was produced. The client then executed the termination without incident.
Results
The employee was terminated. No further action occurred.
