What Have You Admired?

Recruiters checking the candidate during a job interview at offiInterview Question: What have you admired in people who have previously supervised your work?

This gives you a bit of a twist on ways to ask about what a candidate likes to see in their manager, as well as what would make them perform better. Good follow up questions here include inquiring as to how those qualities appear in the candidate themselves. Interestingly you can learn a lot more here than you perhaps expect — you may hear that someone says they find their supervisor is so organized and in control, only to then learn they admire this quality because they cannot match those skills. As a result this question about manager’s strengths yields insight into candidate’s weaknesses.
