Report Shows Drug Use Among Working Americans at 10 Year High

New Jersey-based Quest Diagnostics recent released data showing drug use by American workers at levels “not seen in a decade”. CBS News reports that “4.2 percent of drug tests conducted on employees or job applicants came back positive”, but says that these numbers may not be reflective of the overall workforce, especially those who are not tested for drug use on a regular basis. Among this latter population, CBS News says the self-reported rate of drug use can be 40 to 60 percent higher than those undergoing regular testing.
