Proposed NYC Worker Protection Bills

On December 6th, the New York City Council introduced a number of worker protection bills which, if passed, could go into effect as soon as 180 days after their adoption. The proposed laws are designed to protect employees from last-minute scheduling changes, as well as provide greater protection to employees seeking flexible work arrangements. NYC employers should review the possible changes to understand the impact they may have and the preparations that may be necessary should the bills pass.
