Professional Organization Membership

Members only stampMany companies happily support their employees’ memberships in professional associations, funding such endeavors accordingly. Then the employee leaves and the company loses its affiliation as many organizations recognize memberships by individual, not by company. While some associations will move the membership to your designee, many won’t, leaving you to have to fund another membership. One option – state in your policy that the company reserves the right to require pro-rated reimbursement for any company funded memberships at time of termination.
