NYC Human Rights Law Amendments

New York City employers should review the New York City Human Rights Law to ensure they are complying with the recent amendments made by Mayor Bill de Blasio. The five amendments include the removal of language regarding sexual orientation, addressing of attorney fees for complainants before the New York City Human Rights Commissions, expansion of the public accommodation protections, and a more liberal construction of the Law to strengthen employee protections.
