The National Employment Report, released earlier this month, painted a dim picture. In August, 96,000 jobs were created across the US, and the national unemployment rate dropped to 8.1%. The decrease in the unemployment numbers is attributed to people who have simply given up looking for jobs. Connecticut continues to show both growth and decline simultaneously, making it difficut to get a clear picture.
