An increasing amount of companies have been creating new solutions for parents to either bring their children to work or have longer maternity and paternity leaves – the latest of these being Netflix, which told employees to “take as much time as they want.”
TODAY.com looked at the perks several major companies are providing parents, including in-office nurseries, in this recent article, which features quotes from OperationsInc CEO David Lewis.
“It sounds so amazing – unlimited time off! But what winds up happening is everyone wondering, OK, so how much time is enough? How much is too much?” said David Lewis of OperationsInc, a human resources consulting firm.
“It puts a spotlight on everyone,” Lewis told TODAY.com. ‘Employees start to play judge and jury with each other. When policies are so wide open, it can turn into a divisive force for company culture.”
