Better Hires and Selection Via Behavioral Interviewing

This course is designed to introduce the concept of behavioral interviewing, whereby the interviewer asks a series of open-ended questions that help obtain a clear picture of a candidate’s experience and skills. We will then move to how to effectively analyze and interpret these responses.Training will cover strategic and tactful interviewing techniques necessary to select the best candidates for your organization.

Through a blend of lecture, group discussion and highly interactive hands-on activities, participants will learn the following hiring and behavior-based interviewing concepts and practices:

  • What to ask and how to ask it
  • Creating behavior-based interview questions to make better hiring decisions
  • Following legal and ethical guidelines during the interview process
  • Evaluating and comparing candidates to select the right person
  • Avoiding the most common interviewing mistakes

A half-day session (4 hours total)
