FairfieldCountyJobs.com Partners with OperationsInc to Throw Latest Pink Slip Party for Unemployed

Local networking event helps connect job seekers with employers and each other

Trumbull, CT [March 11, 2009] Have you been laid off or just worried about losing your job? Join us at our Pink Slip Party on Tuesday evening March 24th, 2009 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at The Black Bear Saloon in South Norwalk, CT, where hundreds of job seekers and over a dozen employers will converge for this Event.

After selling out their first Pink Slip Party held on February 25th, the organizers have decided to host their second party which will now accept 300 registrants. The event is a combination of cocktail party and job fair. Instead of job seekers visiting tables like at a job fair, recruiters and candidates mingle in a casual setting to encourage networking.  Complimentary food and discounted drinks will be available.

Fairfieldcountyjobs.com is partnering with OperationsInc, a local HR outsourcing firm, to run the event. OperationsInc offers a job search workshop called ‘Job Search Essentials’ which they are promoting to job seekers. The firm will also have career counselors on-hand to help with resume advice as well as representing several of their clients who presently are hiring.

“With our first party being so successful, planning a second was a no-brainer for us. We’re excited to be bringing job seekers closer to the recruiters and companies that want them”, says Chris Russell, President and Founder of FairfieldCountyJobs.com.

“We’re very excited to produce another one of these events, as well as plan for multiple parties in the coming months”, said David Lewis, CEO of OperationsInc. “Clearly there is a need for them. Our plans to enhance the flow, content and overall experience with each new party is exciting and challenging.”

Hayden Wealth Management, providing integrated financial planning and investment management based on objective advice, superior service and experienced judgment, will sponsor the March 24th Event.
