Consulting Firms Announce Results of Recent HR Based Technology Survey

 

Stamford, CT. [October 10, 2007] It is with great excitement that human resources consulting firm, OperationsInc (OI) and management consulting firm, Performance-Solutions-Group, Inc. (PSG), announce the results of their HR Based Technology Survey — the second in a series of HR-centric surveys relating to today’s workforce. 60 organizations in the Fairfield / NY Metro Area participated in the survey which focused on HR-Related Technology in the workplace.

The key findings from our survey:

  • 76% of those surveyed use a formal Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to track employee related data.
  • The HRIS in use by survey participants comes in the form of specialized software they have purchased OR technology provided via their outsourced Payroll carrier.
  • To this end results also demonstrated that 60% of companies surveyed outsource the handling of their payroll.

While there clearly is a growing prevalence of technology within HR, the world of benefits processing still lags with close to 60% surveyed still using paper to process benefits enrollments.
